Pricing

Use of PioCloud is paid for using credits. Some credits are provided for free to users with an active PioSOLVER licence, and additional credits can be purchased from from the account page. Credits are purchased 1:1 with USD, so 1 credit costs $1.

There are three categories of charges that can be incurred when using PioCloud:

  • the cost of solving jobs
  • charges for storage for sims
  • fees for acccessing the viewer

These are described in more detail below.

Solving​

The use of PioCloud to solve jobs is charged by the amount of time the job runs. When scheduling a job, you will be informed of the worst-case cost of running the job, but most jobs are much cheaper than the worst-case cost. The Cost Control section of the Jobs documentation explains how to understand and manage the cost of solving jobs.

Storage​

Sims stored on PioCloud are free for the first 30 days. This is designed to give you time to download the sims and store them locally if you do not want to keep them on PioCloud. After 30 days, you will be charged a small monthly fee for each sim that is stored on PioCloud.

Viewer​

The viewer is in active development and is free to use while it is in beta. Once we are satisfied with the feature-set and robustness of the viewer, access to the viewer will be by subscription, with the subscription price being discounted for users with an active Pro or Edge license.
